We enjoyed this cruise very much. We have been on Oceania before, and chose this cruise for the itinerary of Lima to NYC. It was the middle leg of getting the ship from Tahiti, where it had spent the winter, to Europe, where it will spend the summer.

We love O for the food, and the food was quite good. The new Dom Perignon events were great (separate charge, but great value for the money). The wine service has stepped up a bit - the wine stewards seem to have more training & knowledge than they used to (not a high hurdle, but much appreciated). Service in general was excellent - friendly, effective, welcoming.

The onboard entertainment, a typically cited weak point for O - well, we can't comment, we tend to use dinner as our entertainment. We did not use any ship's tours; we did appreciate the free shuttles offered in Peru and Ecuador. The ship's activities were plentiful and interesting; one sea day I actually programmed the events I was interested in into my phone so I didn't miss any, although getting sidetracked or relaxing wouldn't be so bad either...

Cabin Review

Verandah Stateroom

Cabin B3

Extended balcony, was pre-set with both loungers and chairs. Compact but well laid out. Lovely appointments, amazing bed and bedding. Looking forward to the "Next" update that will bring on-demand TV content.

Port Reviews

Lima

Great city, but the port is almost 100% commercial. If here as a port stop (as opposed to embark/disembark), the shuttle will likely take you to the Marriott in Miraflores by the Larcomar shopping center. Easy to get taxi's via the easytaxi app - although to get back to the port, you may do better with a car service such as taxidatum.

Banana Coast (Trujillo)

Took the ship's shuttle into Trujillo. Plaza de Armas has lots of great colonial casonas, many with exhibits open to the public (including the blue building just to the right of the Cathedral, and the Casa de la Identidad Regional)

Santo Tomas de Castilla

Took a tour with Happy Fish - not pre-planned, just found them at the port. Enjoyed the visit to the waterfalls very much.

Roatan

We docked at Coxen Hole, and with no prior plans hired a car for the day, including snorkeling (boat included with the same tour company).

Harvest Caye

Very nice beach day, with a variety of activities offered. Don't miss the coconut drinks from the cart, a Belize tradition (available virgin or with rum).

Costa Maya

Our first visit, and pleasantly surprised - a couple of nice pools, plenty of diversions (the chocolate interactive theatrical presentation is a real hoot; we also enjoyed a tequila tasting), and enough shopping to satisfy almost everybody. Love that the tour desk at the base of the pier is "Last Minute Tours"

Miami

Walked to the Metro Mover from the shuttle stop and took it to Museum Park - the Perez Art Museum Miami was amazing (building and collection) and also has a great cafe.

New York (Manhattan)

We walked from pier 88 down to the just-opened Hudson Yards and the Vessel. This part of Manhattan is a *lot* more tourist friendly than just 10 years ago, much less 30!
