I booked our Disney cruise and then read the reviews and was very concerned I had made a huge error. We had a wonderful time on the Disney Wonder! The booking process through Disney was so easy and the operators were friendly and helpful.
Port and Embarkation: We drove to the Port and there were so many Disney staff members welcoming and directing the car through the luggage drop-off and parking (which is currently in a lot as the garage is not finished yet). Once inside and through security, the port was clean and beautiful. We arrived around 12:30 and embarkation had already begun, so we walked right up to a counter. I made a serious error in our document preparation and was in a near-panic, but the employees were so calm and helpful and worked with us to solve the problem. Then they apologized for taking up our time and put us in the front of the line! It was totally my fault and they were most helpful and I'm not sure another company would've been so helpful.
Ship: The Wonder is a beautiful boat. The public areas are gleaming and clean. You'd never see garbage or a smudged surface and they are constantly cleaning. There seemed to be characters everywhere. There are 3 areas of elevators, fore, midship, and aft, so if the elevators are busy midship, just head elsewhere. The family pools were crowded and my husband and I never set foot in them, but our kids loved the Mickey Pool and slide despite the fact they were very crowded at times. The pool deck could be slippery if you were wet and walking rapidly. There is staff that tries to keep it dry, but with that many people...
