We had previously taken a River Cruise with AmaWaterways in Vietnam and Cambodia and the captain was excitedly talking about the AmaMagna. We booked it right away and so happy we did ! It's the 'widest' riverboat on the Danube, so very spacious throughout. The food and restaurant staff were outstanding ! Breakfast and lunch had both 'buffet' offerings as well as menu options. There's also an 'extra' family style restaurant named after one of the Ama founders, Jimmy, that was our favorite restaurant on the ship.
This particular cruise happened to be a 'wine' cruise so there were several enjoyable wine lectures which were informative and enjoyable. Most every day we would have the opportunity to wine taste throughout the week!
What we love about Ama is that for daily excursions, they always use headsets so that you can always hear what they are saying without having to stand right next to the tour director.
We stayed in a 'suite' type cabin that was fabulous. There was a great bathroom with two sinks and a shower and a separate toilet room. There is more than enough storage - we didn't even use all the storage that was available. Very high tech - there is an electronic main control as well as an IPAD to control lighting, temperature, etc. The cabin was also equipped with an Apple Mac !
