Sail Date: Apr 2019
Cabin: Aurea Balcony Stateroom

We chose this cruise to experience new ports alongside being able to do back to back 14 nights. Our aim was to have a lovely, romantic escape. We upgraded to the Aurea experience especially so that we could escape to the ‘exclusive sundeck’ that promised to offer ‘complete tranquility’ - but more of that later.

Firstly, there are some things about this ship that are amazing. The thermal spa area which, with the Aurea package, you have unlimited access to provides steam rooms, aromatherapy, sauna and jacuzzi. We weren’t brave enough to try the snow room ! But we utilised the spa area virtually every day and on some days as a tactic to escape the chaos on board. The staff are friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming. Excellent!

The service and the jazz in the Seaview Lounge (deck 8) were excellent. Highly recommended! Similarly, the Sports bar (deck 8) turned out to be a find - the chicken wings are scrumptious (extra cost).

Cabin Review

Aurea Balcony Stateroom

Smaller than other cruise liners and already showing signs of wear and tear,

Cupboard space is limited and much less than generous that on other cruise ships.
