We chose this trip since we were interested in doing the route from St. Petersburg to Moscow. It was fantastic. The shore excursions chosen by the ship were amazing. And a big KUDOS to the tour guides both on the ship and privately. Special mention must be made to Valeria. She is first class as a guide and lecturer on Russian history. We had two lectures given by her and it was fascinating. Valeria really took us back in History in such vivid detail that you felt you were living in that era. Her tours especially Moscow by Night was brilliant. Thanks for the chocolate Valeria! Just what the dr. ordered at 100am!!
Breakfast and lunches were excellent. But please please do something about dinner.
The food was not good and if we had had a buffet with salads and vegetables, that would definitely have been great. The Matre D' Jonathan, is first class together with his staff.
Dont choose this cabin, it is right at the back and we were bothered by both the engine of the ship and the rattling while sailing. The cabin itself is average. A bit cramped and of course the bathroom is just big enough to swing a cat. But at least there are bathroom cabinets to store your cosmetics, etc. The balcony is big , the best part of the cabin.
At this point I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to our cabin stewardess, Irina, for looking after us so well. The cabin was spotlessly clean and she is an asset to Viking.
