This was our first time on the Vista, our 19th to date. We have only cruised CCL and this was 14th different ship. We were not impressed with a few things that might be okay for others, we are mature but young at heart and enjoy most activities on board. The biggest disappointment was the atrium in main lobby what a shock no more glass elevators lowered ceiling, sure vortex was cute but lobby was not the same. It seemed the designers tried to cram as many areas as they possibly on ship . Huge mistake as while on board I heard this from many veteran cruisers. Who ever designed the elevator system should rethink this design as it was the worst we have ever experienced. CD Matt was great but trying to relax at the pool in the morning and have the morning show blast us out volume wise should be addressed, have a crew member monitor when they start to make sure we are not blasted with it. The show it self was fine and informative. Lido food court seemed to be very warm most of the time and yes I understand with that many people it will get warm.. once again a crew member to check periodically.. All restaurants BI,RFP, were always quick and fresh. Steak house we waited over an hour to have main course brought to us. We were at 5:30 seating 3rd in line to be seated the second table ate and left before we got our main course. we always do SH and always excellent, But when ast. mgr. explained it was what we ordered I just had to put this in. They did comp us a dinner two nights later at 8:45 anyway in closing the Vista is not for us. we prefer smaller ships . Cruise on :)
fine up front but it worked for our needs
drove in from Corpus Christi Texas no problems
Only ship in port for the last 9 days so very agressive from all vendors and taxi drivers
shoped and love all the polite vendors
