We were somewhat pessimistic about booking a river cruise but after completing the trip we can only recommend the experience to others and, specifically Scenic cruises and the Scenic Ruby.

The vessel is immaculate, the tour has plenty of options, the location and scenery is amazing, but what makes this cruise exceptional is the staff. Their professional approach and attentive service is beyond anything we imagined. We were fortunate that while all the rivers we cruised on were very high (water wise!), the team onboard were able to ensure our experience was as we planned, and beyond!

You have the option to do as much as you wish or nothing, your call. But the planning is excellent and really allows for a vast variety of ages and fitness levels. As we were relatively younger than many, we still were able to find activities that suited us. Read more
