We flew into Vancouver a few days early to have a look around.
Stayed at the sunset inn and suites - it wasn't anything fancy but very clean/comfortable and in a really good location within easy reach of most things, plus a lot of shops/food just a street over.
Check-in was good from the Princess side but getting through security/immigration was a bit tedious. Probably almost 1.5 hours in total between security and immigration.
We had an aft cabin on deck 9. I really wasn't sure about this choice with a lot of negative reviews. Honestly, it was great. I just wiped over the balcony handrail each time I went out there with my hand to see if there was any soot before sitting or leaning. Only found a small amount twice across the 7 days. This cabin was also great because it his huge, and half covered unlike most of the other aft cabins. The other huge benefit is the lack of wind which meant I was out there, in the Alaskan weather, in shorts and t-shirts most of the time. We had D731.

We did a whitewater rafting tour with canadian outback which was pretty good.
Ketchikan was the first stop. We went on a 4-person zodiac ride around the bays which was really good.
Too, the train to the land portion of the cruise.
Last day was Glacier bay which was really good and definitely one of the highlight days for us as we like lounging around on the balcony watching the world sail by.
There was plenty of wildlife to see in the bay and between the other ports. Few orcas, humpbacks, plus heaps of otters and other things. Because of the excellent viewing off the aft balcony, we didn’t really see any of the onboard shows, and very-much unlike us, hardly even went to trivia or other activities. We really did spend a lot of time out on that balcony.
