We chose this cruise because it included a lot of the places we wanted to go. It started in Tokyo, and ended in Vancouver. All the ports were wonderful. But the ship is what it is all about. Viking have the same layout with all their ships so this was a second cruise with them and we felt instantly at home. Checkin is always quick and very friendly and happy. A glass of bubbles as soon as you step onto the ship. Up to the buffet for lunch, then to your balcony stateroom. Our stateroom was a Penthouse Verandah, about the second from the bottom in their categories. It was very big with heated bathroom floors and mirrors. Plenty of storage space, wardrobes, drawers etc. room for our cases under the bed. Plus included mini bar, refilled daily, alcohol was included in our category. A pod coffee machine. All the crew were exceptional, remembering and using our names every day. The food was second to none. The specialty restaurants are included at no extra cost. The entertainment was very good with a few international performers and their own performers. We were very well entertained throughout the whole cruise. The best part is, there are no kids, no casino, and no pesky photographers taking your pic with every move you make. A free shore tour in every Port. Plus the thermal spa is complimentary, with its big thermal pool, saunas, ice bucket, snow grotto. Complimentary laundrette on all decks. Washer, dryer, laundry detergent, irons and ironing boards. Viking are very classy ships. We have been spoilt for any other cruise line. We have tried several others. But it will be Viking for us from now on. I can't say a bad word about Viking.
