After having completed over 100 cruises, covering some 1300 nights, we wished to try the "small ship" experience of Azamara.
After reading reviews of a number of various smaller "up-scale/luxury", we decided on Azamara, for our "test run".
Being on a "smaller" ship, there was a discernible ( but not annoying) feel of some ship movement in open choppy seas. This was somewhat expected, if we encountered rougher sea conditions.
The suite (# 7114) was selected specifically for its corner/aft location with similar accommodations on the decks above and below ours. The suite was extremely roomy and well appointed, separate entrances to the very large veranda from the "living room" and the "bedroom". This allowed for a wonderful view off the stern of the ship, and or along the Port side of the ship.
Some of the advantages of this category cabin are the stateroom attendant, the assistant stateroom attendant, under the supervision of our butler. In suite room service was available ofr any/all meals, although we did not utilize this benefit.
We did have one issue, with the air conditioning, which was eventually resolved.
