We have experience on four different cruise lines. This cruise took us to the British Isles aboard the Crown Princess, It was our first and last with Princess Lines. With the exception of entertainment the most comfortable bed ever, and our cabin steward, everything was below average, We are not whiners and try to look for the best so I'll share a few examples to document our disappointment. Ship breakdowns caused delays and many missed excursions. (100 dollars onboard credit issued as compensation) The second-day departures for excursions was absolute chaos, Staff seemed to be as uninformed and confused as passengers. Room Service breakfast was cold cereal or mass produced baked items that were of vending machine quality or egg muffin (arrived cold and soggy) we gave up after two mornings. Buffet meals were barely warm and bland. We had any time evening dining. Menus were average and service was rushed. Severs were rushed and snippy if a diner changed an order or asked questions. On two occasions people at our table sent meals back because they were so poorly prepared, Lobster tail night presented a mini lobster tail about the size offered at stake and lobster night at budget steakhouses, Most conversations (even from Princess veterans) at dinner centered around the poor food and service and day-to-day sometimes outrageous hassles. The last night when the Chef and kitchen staff were introduced, the host asked the diners to give them a 10 on post cruise surveys. Our balcony stateroom did not have a couch or leisure chair. It was the desk chair or the bed, Railing was pealing varnish. Large screen TV, that kept failing the first two days of the cruise, Our lunch river cruise on the Paris excursion was literally a bad dream. The barge was more crowded than airline economy coach seating, They said the vessel was air conditioned, but I couldn't detect any. Almost everyone was using brochures to fan their faces. The noise was so intense from loud intoxicated guests narration, and the music and singer could not be heard. Sone excursions advertised on your own time for shopping or exploring. It was true but the time was 15 minutes max. In Paris that meant time for a picture of the Eiffel Tower and a single souvenir kiosk.

Cabin BB

Carbin category (BB) is best guess from memory. Bed and pillows best ever. Small state from that did not have a couch or easy chair. Inside it was desk chair or the bed. Large screen flat TV but had many outages.
