This was my 3rd cruise, my previous being on Silver Discoverer and Silver Shadow. When I booked the itinerary was to Central America but it got changed towards the end of 2019 to being Cuba and Cape Canaveral but Silversea hadn't done its research and so the itinerary changed swapping Cape Canaveral for the the Bahamas - Nassau and Bimini - ultimately we ended up overnighting in Nassau instead of even going to Bimini so it was all a bit disorganised from that respect. No compensation was offered for the fact that I ended up on a completely different voyage to the one I booked!

Regardless of all that, Silversea was as usual a great way to travel although I believe the restaurant menu layout has been changed to encourage guests to eat less courses than my cruise the previous year (prior to the takeover).

Silversea excursions are always informative and I saw some great places, I fell completely in love with Havana and plan on going back for a proper visit in the not too distant future.

Cabin VI

My cabin was spacious and comfy but I would say that having the shower over the bath is not the best layout for a lot of Silversea guests. On my cruise alone there were a number of guests who had recently had knee reconstructions and struggled getting in and out of the shower (being at the younger end (43) I was fine). It was a lovely touch to find a bottle of champagne waiting for me on arrival :-)
