We booked this cruise on a whim as we had never been on a cruise and found a great deal. Seattle isn't far from Vancouver BC Canada (about 2.5 to 3 hour drive) so having this embark and return to Seattle was convenient.

We drove down in the morning at 7:30AM and parked at Seattle Cruisepark by 10:30 (we had enough time to stop for coffee). They have shuttles that take you to and from the terminal every 15-20 minutes so it was quite convenient. Embarkation was great and straight forward. A porter took our bags before hand and they were already in our room by the time we got on board. Our room was configured in a twin-bed setup, and after our concierge introduced themselves we asked them if they could change it to a single-bed setup while we roamed the ship. They happily obliged.

We went straight for the Lido deck to eat as our morning drive and check in left us starving. It did not disappoint as there were plenty of foods ready for everyone as soon as the boarded.

Cabin J

This was our first cruise but we were impressed with this cabin. It is located a very short distance from the front elevators and stairway, as well as being one deck up from the gangway door when in port. (The gangway door is on the staff deck below the dolphin deck. The staff deck is not noted on online plans). The front elevators aren't as busy as the middle ship elevators. Plus they go to the 9th deck (Sports/Birds Nest Deck) while the middle and rear elevators go only to the 8th/lido deck.

Because this cabin is near the front, you do not hear engine sounds. The room is quiet and we didn't hear any sounds from our neighbors, or above or below us. It being an inside room however, it is easy to sleep in, so set your alarm clocks!

Our room was made up, twice daily. Once in the morning after leaving for breakfast, and again in the evening during dinner. Every night, the staff leave folded towels in animal shapes.

The bathroom was small but not claustrophobic. The stand up shower has a shower head attached to a hose so that you can get every part of your body. The room has ample closet space for two people for a 7 day cruise. The sitting area is nice and you can ask to have fresh fruit delivered daily.

In all, would stay in a room like this again.
