It's been a few years since we were last on an RC ship, onboard the Anthem, which was an amazing ship and experience. It was also one where most folk we spoke to would always say, "it's great, but it's not the Indy".

When we saw this year that Indy was doing a Canaries cruise, something we had wanted to do for a long time, we jumped at the chance to see if she was all that and more, especially after her recent refit and refurb, and hit or miss reviews here!

Driving from Glasgow, thanks to FlyBe's exorbitant prices to fly direct to Southampton, our embarkation process from arriving at AB Parking to getting onto the ship probably took us no more than an hour from about 11am. The RC staff throughout were extremely helpful and ensured everyone was kept moving towards getting onto the ship. It was the same disembarking on our final day. It was all super slick, super efficient, and felt very well managed and controlled.

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 5D

Plenty of space for my wife and I, along with our 11 year old son. You do really need to make sure the sofa bed is put away each morning though to maintain that space. Very close to the main stairwell and lifts too so very easy to get around the ship from here and would definitely stay in it again if we were aboard the Indy

Port Reviews

Lisbon

Love Lisbon, especially coming into and leaving port as you go underneath the suspension bridge. Went to the Oceanarium which is amazing. Used the hop on hop off citysightseeing bus which leaves directly from the port and is two minutes walk from the ship. Great way to see the city.

Vigo

Not much to see in Vigo although the area around where the ship docks is nice.

Cadiz

Love Cadiz, beautiful port and always nice to get off and just have a wander around the area next to the ship where there's plenty to see, eat, and do. Beach isn't far too

La Palma

Beautiful stop and in easy distance of the ship

La Coruna

Loved this stop. Another beautiful place that you can just get out and walk around the harbour and its surrounding area. You'll be back on board after a couple of hours though!
