We chose this cruise based on the itinerary - we had never been to Venice, Split, Athens or Katakolon before.

As our last cruise was on the newest & biggest Symphony OTS we were expecting Rhapsody to be rather small and worn out. However we were very positively surprised when we got in! Although some of the designs (e.g. colour schemes on the carpets) were a bit dated, there was no wear & tear visible anywhere!

Also even though there are less venues than on Oasis-class, there is more to do onboard than can be done on a one week cruise. I'd say this ship is a great entry point to first time cruisers!

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

Very spacious and clean suite! It was perfect for 3 adults in same cabin. The bathroom and balcony were huge! There were two sun lounger in the balcony, however to our disappointment there was no way to sunbathe on the balcony as the deck above being the wider pool deck it blocked the sun most of the time. Lucky enough there was no noise from the pool deck (nor anywhere else) that we could hear to the cabin.

As suite guests we got a few nice perks, like suite&pinnacle breakfast in Chop's. No Coastal Kitchen on this ship unfortunately. The best perk was the access suite lounge hosted by suite consierge Alan, who was always very helpful and got things done!

Port Reviews

Venice

Venice during the summer is very crowded and moving about using the water buses is slooow and carrying your luggage up and down the numerous brigdes is exhausting. So if you arrive a day early I recommend booking a hotel as close to the Cruise terminal as possible.

Split

Beautiful city, easy to discover by walking on your own!
