We had travelled around Europe by hire car before we started the cruise. The on board service started when we first boarded. The cabin wasn't ready as we were early. The drinks were offered straight away. The pianist who played nearly all day long did not repeat a tune. The food was excellent and the wines top quality. We had two degustation dinners with matching wines which were outstanding. In separate meals I had snails, frogs legs, oysters, lobster and the freshest fish I've eaten in years. The service was impeccable, the rooms were cleaned with fresh towels twice a day. The shore excursions were brilliant, although some two hour bus trips back were quite tiresome. Overall it's a five star experience. There's nothing better than watching the passing shore from either your room's balcony or from the top deck. We would not hesitate to recommend Scenic Cruises to anyone.
