We normally do Celebrity cruises, but this time was all about my 13 year old son and making sure there was enough fun for him. So we went on Royal Caribbean and were very pleased. Here is a comprehensive review:

Cabin - we were two people in a balcony cabin - plenty of storage space, shower was great, no signs of wear, bed was very comfortable. We had another cabin with a balcony facing the inside boardwalk which was a refreshing change of pace. Beware though, because it does get loud.

Dining - dinner in the dining room was consistently good. I am vegan and the options were wonderful and delicious. People who had the lobster and steak raved. We had breakfast in the dining room a few times as well and were pleased with the choices. Yes breakfast is what you get at Windjammer, but you can customize and get made to order omelets so that's nice. Pastries are not great, but that's a good thing because I didn't need a daily tempting of a bread basket. Waffles are a winner.
