Did basically the same cruise almost 4 years ago,on the same ship,and after having a fabulous time on that cruise,that we decided we would do the same cruise again. What a huge disappointment it was.Previously we had an Oceanview Cabin,but this time we had just an indoor cabin.Huge mistake!!!Our cabin was directly below the Operations Room for the Gaming Room.No problem whatsoever with the Gaming Room noise,other than a staff member who insisted on wearing stilettos all night,every night,on floorboards.One night the clunk,clunk,clunking didn't cease until 2:00am ,and then two nights later until 4:00am.On a whole,we didn't get any ( decent) sleep until two nights before we returned to Port in Sydney.We complained about the continual noise to the ' Guest Services Desk",who kindly arranged for two different Staff Members to enter our cabin on two different occasions to evaluate the noise above us,and on both occasions I was lying on the bed crying my eyes out.They both agreed there was an issue with the noise above ,and approached the Staff Member in Gaming,who contributed to the noise.The Staff Member in Gaming stated that she has a job to do ,which we wholeheartedly agreed with,but we felt she could have offered to change her style of shoe she wore to a much quieter sole of her shoe.After deliberation,we were offered another cabin,on Deck 7,at the back of the ship.On inspection,we declined the offer,as it was directly in line with the propellor,and made as much noise(whirring) as we were already experiencing.Finally,onboard credit was offered but it didn't come anywhere near the inconvenience we experienced.The Cabin number was 1193.We,needless to say,was bitterly disappointed with the cruise.
