Captivated by the alluring Emerald Waterways brochure advertising the brand new luxury yacht Adriatic Princess 2 I encouraged some friends to join us on a luxury weeks cruise along the Dalmatian coast. That was the dream!

The reality: When we arrived at the dock we discovered that the promised brand new luxury AP 2 doesn't exist, it never did.The yacht had been replaced by the original Adriatic Princess. We were given no prior notice that the yacht had been changed and in my opinion a clear case of miss-selling. We were told to leave our bags on the quayside and go and find somewhere to eat or drink because we couldn't board for another two hours. The word "luxury" is used at least ten times in the brochure and five star once. At no time did we consider that we were on a luxury yacht with 5 star service. The food was average with little choice and not enough of it. The included wine with meals was undrinkable. The wine came in a bottle with a beer type cap which leads me to think it was very cheap. We had two dinners on board and were asked to keep our knives and forks for the next course. No tablecloths and cheap plastic flowers on table. If you didn't want the included wine you could buy a superior bottle for £37.50. Only 10 beach towels for 34 passengers. My wife and I had to make do with much smaller white towels. Our cabin safe was broken, it took 5 days to replace. Inadequate toiletries in cabin, no hair conditioner, no tissues. WiFi kept breaking down. At night we were moored between other boats some nights as many as seven boats. Which meant you had to cross all the other boats to get ashore. However that was helpful because you could see that some other boats were truly luxurious, unlike ours. Nearly all the other passengers complained about the service and food on board. I have registered a complaint with ABTA and I am awaiting a response. There are many luxury boats cruising the Adriatic sadly this isn't one of them.

Cabin Review

Cabin Outside

Cabin was adequate but my wife couldn't hang dresses in wardrobe because it wasn't tall enough. Engine noise extremely noisy. Woken around 6am every day when engine was started.
