We chose this cruise since I have always wanted to go to Quebec City and we thoroughly enjoyed that French-speaking port. We had good weather--in fact in was hot in Quebec City. Our second favorite port was Portland, Maine, an attractive and charming town. We had been to Boston and Halifax before, but enjoyed both of them again. The trip was rather port-intensive and I would have liked more sea days, which are relaxing since you don't have to get up early for an excursion. We went on an excursion in almost every port. On the sea days I missed having any enrichment lectures on board.
The ship itself is very attractive and we enjoyed the variety of food, especially in the buffet, where they had gluten-free and dairy-free choices and also left out cereal for a snack or to take to your room.
The dancers and singers in the production company were excellent. The party band was also excellent. The sailaway activities seemed somewhat limited until halfway through the cruise.
I booked rather late, so not many cabins were availalbe. Our cabin had a completely obstructed view to the point it was hard to see what the weather or the ocean looked like--except when the lifeboat was taken down for tendering or for maintenance. I had tried to get E613 since it looked as if it had a peek of the outside, but it booked before I could get it. Our steward didn't vacuum our room until the end of the trip,
The tour was interesting with some good stories. Over 2 hours of walking!
We walked on the boardwalk and stopped for a drink. We enjoyed shopping in the cruise terminal.
