I loved everything about this cruise (except the weather which was cold and rainy). Our cruise went from Budapest Hungary to Amsterdam. Castles, vineyards, beautiful scenery, churches, shopping, history, demonstrations-so much to see and do. Our cruise director/stand up comedian/singer was positively amazing and multi-talented. He coordinated all the activities and shore excursions so everything ran smoothly. He was very knowledgeable about the ship and the history of the places we saw along the way. He was also very entertaining, cracking jokes and keeping us in stitches.
All of the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our Cabin Steward was really sweet and did an excellent job of keeping our room tidy.
The meals were amazing, I think there was something for everyone and everything was top notch.
It was comfortable even though a bit tiny. We had a nice size window (not huge but larger than your average port hole) above the water line so we could look out and see the world go by. The layout of the room and bath were well thought out with lots of storage. The bath had a heated floor. Our room steward was a real sweetheart and kept our room nice and clean and tidy.
Its a beautiful city, but not really very tourist friendly. Figuring out the public transportion system was very difficult. It would be helpful if they would put the signs in both Hungarian and English so tourists would have an easier time.
Another beautiful city with lots of history.
Beautiful city, but kind of depressing because of its history.
Really beautiful old city, lots of history, lots of interesting shops. Didn't try the smoke flavored beer but we did find a candy store with chocolate smoke flavored beer truffles that were really yummy.
we took the optional tour of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Walked for a little ways on top the city wall, learned a lot of history, had a good traditional German meal. Our guide was really nice, knowledgeable and entertaining.
