Sail Date: Aug 2019

This ship is a 5 star hotel and the service is fantastic. I also loved the app for your phone that alerted you to points of interest you sailed by, and that you could look up info on all the cities along the route. Also loved that fact that once you paid the fare everything was included, no surprises at the end of the cruise. Highly recommend Scenic Cruises!

Embarkation and disembarkation was very organized and went smoothly.

The ports of call and shore excursions were well organized and very interesting. I would have liked to have more than 1 day in Budapest and maybe 1 less day in Vienna.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony cabin

Beautiful cabin, very clean, really comfortable beds, lots of extra amenities you would not have thought of. e.g.umbrella, nail file, cotton balls etc.

Port Reviews

Amsterdam

Loved learning about some of the history of the houses along the canals

Amsterdam

Interesting to see inside the old windmills, and also watch a demomon making the wooden shoes.

Cologne

Learned a lot about the history of Cologne and the cathedral

Wurzburg

Did a tour of the Bishop's Residence including a wine tasting. The opulence of this place is over the top. The wine cellars are very old and there seems to be miles of them. After that we did a walking tour through the town and back to the ship.

Bamberg

Did a guided walking tour through Bamberg's old town . Lots of very old buildings, the old town hall was built in the 1100's I believe, and was built over the river as the Bishop would't give them any land to build it on.

Nuremberg

ere we did the WW2 tour, a coach and walking tour. Saw the area where Hitler had his rallies and could not believe the size of the area. .Then we went to the Documentation Centre. Interesting but also kind of depressing

Regensburg

Took the coach tour to go to Weltenburg Abbey . They have a brewery there and we were fed a fresh pretzel and a glass of their dark beer. very good on a hot day. the Abbey is spectacular, one of the most beautiful we saw.

Budapest

Budapest is a very beautiful city and I would highly recommend spending more time that 1 day there. There is so much more we wanted to see but not enough time.
