We booked this trip because each day we were visiting a different port which we had not been to before. Embarkation was relaxed and very straight forward in Monaco. Our penthouse suite was beautiful. We normally book larger suites on similar ships but found the size, bathroom with large shower and wardrobe space more than adequate. I believe the ship had been recently refurbished and looked lovely throughout. We ate in Red Ginger and Tuscan both of which were really good. We took afternoon tea on a few afternoons where we enjoyed trolley service for sandwiches, cake and tea along with the string quartet.

We found dining in the main dining room a little disappointing. The menu choice was not as good as other cruise lines we have used. Quite often the service was slow for food and drinks. We felt that the waiting staff seemed to have little direction, and we were normally not aware of any management involvement. We enjoyed lunch and breakfast buffet dishes. Once again the service was not consistent. We also noticed that the better wines/champagne appeared to start running out on day 2 which was disappointing. Perhaps we could understand this towards the end of a cruise but not at the beginning. Our room stewards and butler did a great job of looking after us and kept the suite immaculate. We enjoyed the entertainment and felt they did a good job and there was a fair amount of variety for a small ship. We did not do any port excursions as it was so easy to wonder around seeing the sights on our own. Disembarkation was the quickest and easiest we have ever experienced.
