Friends talked us into joining them on the Rhine Cruise to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. We were novices, not sure what to expect. The staff of Viking guided us every step of the way, arranged transportation from the airport to the ship, settled us into our stateroom & made us feel comfortable. We experienced solicitous, caring, attentive, friendly, & informative attitudes.
The attention we received in our staterooms, at meals, around the ship, on the shore excursions was almost too much pampering.
We felt extremely appreciated & treated royally by the staff !
Our only criticism was the excursion to the Back Forest..it was such a tourist trap with so little to offer but highly inflated priced souvenirs. Such a long bus ride to such a lousy location.
The rest of the included tours were amazing & really enjoyable.
My husband had been dreading his first river cruise, now he is trying to convince friends to join us on another one! So we booked another cruise for next year!
Adequate. Did feel a little cramped. Loved the French Balcony windows, giving such a wonderful view of the shore, adding to our experiences . We kept the curtains open during the nite to catch more views of the shores anytime. Really cool experiencing going thru the locks. Appreciated the feather pillows since required following neck surgery. Needed a few more hangers. Tiny bathroom & shower were surprisingly good.
Liked the heated floor.
Breathtaking view, fascinating
