Our cruise began in Copenhagen, Denmark. During the pre boarding process my wife and I were asked where we were from by one of the MSC cruise line staff holding a clip board. We responded, "we are from Texas, USA", the MSC employee then rolled her eyes, and replied "oh no, we already have too many Americans". It was an awkward moment, as we thought she was only kidding, and we were waiting for her to laugh and say "just kidding". Well, that never happened.
We had booked our cruise 7 months in advance when well over half of the ships cabins were still available. We chose early dining seating for 18:30. When we got on the ship, we were reassigned to 20:30 dining, and given a table for two in a hallway next to the kitchen entrance for servers. No outside view. We went to the service desk to express our displeasure with our seating arrangement; considering the fact, that we had booked early enough that our choice should have been honored. The MSC employee patronized us with what came off as feigned sincerity to correct the seating situation. The following morning we were advised that our seating arrangement had been adjusted, our hopes were dashed as we found out the tables location. It was a mirror image position except on the other side of the ship. On our 30 year wedding anniversary cruise, we were relegated to second class seating.
If that wasn't bad enough, the food onboard was bland, or cold. Even the pizza was terrible.
Cabin was nice, plenty of room. We really enjoyed the veiw. Little engine noise at night, cause the ship is cruising fast.
Just took the hop on bus and boat deal, had fun.
