Our friends invited us to go with them. We weren’t sure exactly what to expect but our niece had gone on a Viking river cruise and absolutely loved it. We were so pleased with every aspect of the cruise. Our room was outstanding. It was so cozy and clean and super comfortable! Everything was so organized and the staff were so professional and friendly and cheerful. There was such a variety of food and it was very, very good. It was fun to eat at the different restaurants! We loved the entertainment and thought it was just the right amount. The theatre was very nice and had comfortable seating. We enjoyed the lectures and loved all of the shore excursions we went on. It was wonderful the night in St. Petersburg when the two professional Russian opera singers came on board to entertain us! It was lovely. We also loved the gift shop. Such quality items. Although the cruise was expensive, if you divide the price by the number of days we were on the ship and the excellent service and everything that was included it actually was quite reasonable. We hope someday we will be able to go on another Viking cruise! P.S. The tour guides were all good.We especially loved the ones in Aalborg, Estonia and Finland.
