We chose this cruise as we saw a documentary on MSC. It is a great new ship with great rooms and great staff. There are no sea days so there is never really any overcrowded areas.
We booked the Aurea Experience and upgraded to the Premium Plus drinks package, (Well worth it). We suffered a bit of jet lag so didn't get the full benefit of the upgrade but still went pretty close. With Aurea you get a free massage which is good but beware this is purely a sales tactic to up sell product and more services, the masseuse literally stopped 3/4 of the way through a massage to try and sell me a $50.00 tub of sea salt and oil...... Uumm were in the Med, don't need to buy salt, I'll just go to the beach when in port.
The restaurants, buffets and bars are all fantastic with huge selections that change daily. In the buffet they have a buzzer on the tables for drink service which is fantastic.
Great cabin in a great location - check out the floor map- you can see right into the bridge and you hardly feel any movement when rough.
walk into town and around - the La Famiglia is so over crowded dont even bother there is so much more to see.... Really clean city
just cab it around
12 euro mini train is great
