As a reasonably well travelled couple around mainland Europe we were looking forward to travelling a little further afield and so chose The Viking Homelands cruise whilst on our second river cruise with them.

From the minute of booking to coming home everything was superbly handled by all the Viking staff we had dealings with.

The Viking Sky herself did not disappoint,I can find nothing about it to complain about. It was furnished exactly to our style being modern and elegant without being 'flashy' or too simple.Even on sea days it did not seem crowded.

Port Reviews

Tallinn

even the rain could not dampen spirits.

Aalborg

Exceeded expectations.A very welcoming little town with so much more to see than expected.

Got close up and personal with a local Viking by the name of Magnus.

His group put on a display for us in a courtyard plus bites of food and a taste of mead.

Greeted on arrival on the quayside with music and flags and departed with the same.

The sun shone all day which was a bonus after the stormy seas on the Baltic.

Eidfjord

Low cloud did not spoil the views here and only added to a brooding atmosphere.
