This cruise carried on for a second week with approx. 25 guests staying on for the second week. The trip started in Nuremberg and ended in Budapest.
We're not regular cruisers and joined friends for their 40th wedding anniversary and his 60th birthday.
We were in suite 330, category C and the room was fine (small but manageable). The shower was great (much better than our Azamara experience).
We brought our work out clothes but the gym is so small and limited, we only used the bikes/treadmill/rowing machines a couple of times. There's a small number of hand weights available. Perhaps the hair dressing salon could be converted for the addition of a universal gym. There is a wellness person on board and he has stretching, yoga, pilates sessions.
We thought the food was good (better than I expected), it's worth booking the chef's table for one night. Service on the ship was good.
As with our other cruising experience, we don't find there's enough time at any of the stops to see much. We were disappointed by the size of the groups when we were on tours (had hoped for smaller groups).
As with all river cruises you are subject to itin changes due to water levels. We had one afternoon of excursions cancelled as the ship had to move due to water levels. One other excursion was cut short & we had a longer bus ride due to the ship moving. Overall our itin was minimally impacted by water levels. The companies are not that forthcoming about this - it's interesting to experience.
The cruise director Kata was excellent.
AMA is not the least expensive option on the river, we felt all beverages should be included, at an absolute minimum non-alcoholic drinks should be complimentary.
This was our third cruise and this trip confirmed for us that we are unlikely to cruise again (at least until we're much older and less inclined to be DIY travelers).
Small but manageable, good shower.
