This cruise was spectacular. We typically cruise Regent and have done Viking Ocean and Celebrity, but we can say without a doubt that this trip was over the top fabulous. The food was the best and most consistent we've had at sea, the service was impeccable, the ship was spotless, the ambience and care taken to every detail was amazing. We have never done a cooler weather cruise before but we were able to eat outside for most breakfasts and lunches due to the heaters and blankets provided. The stateroom was comparable in size and amenities to the Regent ships but we were worried that we had queen sized beds. If those were queens, they were larger than the standard. We were perfectly comfortable. Nearly every night our room stewardess would leave little surprises in addition to the chocolates--eye glass cleaners, a rose, etc. When I made a comment on a comment card about needing night lights, they appeared by bedtime in the room. The cast of singers and dancers were excellent and the guest entertainers were top notch as well. Everyone had high energy and were approachable. Oh, and I particularly enjoyed the Spa and their Dr. Andrew Weil wellness program. There were many complimentary classes and seminars of interest to me. Every day was different. We only took one Seabourn sponsored shore excursion and it was good. We usually booked our own private side trips in the ports we were most interested in. We did think the Seabourn excursions were very pricey but you'd have to ask the other guests if they were worth it. We never asked anyone. We would add that there could have been more excitement and music in the bars beginning at 6 or during the day sometimes around ship. The days were pretty quiet and the nightly show doesn't begin until 9:45 which is late if you have an early tour the next day. But over-all of the 4 of us travelling together who have silver and gold status on Regent, we all agreed Seabourn was a notch above. Great job Seabourn! And did I say how wonderful the Executive Chef Olivier was? He was everywhere engaging with guests, making sure they enjoyed every experience, creating amazing food events and surprises all cruise long. What a gem he is! We will be back!

Veranda Suite

732 is nicely located mid ship and near the Square gathering area, boutiques, coffee shop and customer service. It is next to a staff service room so occasionally we'd hear some small noises but nothing to complain about. I'd pick that room again.
