We had a great time on our New England/Canada cruise on Regal Princess. Embarkation was an absolute breeze. It pays to download the Ocean Medallion app and complete the process on there. Embarkation was less than 10 minutes from curb to ship, while others were taking much longer because they weren't "Ocean Ready". We used Lyft to travel from our hotel near Wall Street and that was a very easy process.
Our first stop was Newport, RI and we tendered to that port. Allow plenty of time to tender if you have an excursion. We didn't have anything planned so we used Lyft to get to the Newport Vineyards/Taproot Brewery. It was fantastic! Excellent flight of beer and delicious food.
Next stop was Boston. We took Lyft to the Bunker Hill Memorial and walked the Freedom Trail in reverse. Finished at Harpoon Brewery near the pier for another flight of beer.
The cabin was perfect for 2 people, but I probably wouldn't try to fit more than that in there. It was smaller than other balcony cabins we have had on other cruise lines, but had plenty of storage and a nice big flat screen TV with lots of on demand options and a few live TV channels. My #1 complaint on this cruise was the size of the bathroom. It was so tiny. It was by far the smallest bathroom on any of our 11 cruises. The balcony was a good size and had 2 chairs and a small table.
Fastest embarkation ever!
Beautiful little town. Allow extra time to tender. Visit the Newport Vineyards/Taproot Brewery for some tasty food and beverages.
Nice cruise port that is a short drive from downtown with so much history. Grab an Uber or Lyft and do some exploring. They also have mass transit and the Silver Line comes out to the pier area.
Great tour with time to stop and see some sights. Still leaves plenty of time to explore the city.
Booked with https://halifaxtitanictours.ca/ for the most amazing tour! Paul will give you an all day tour and keep you out of the crowds. It was by far my favorite stop! I learned so much!
