The 10 day southern Caribbean cruise on the Crown Princess was mediocre at best. The food was sub-par and the staff was not friendly or courteous. The Crown Grill we paid extra for was a great meal but Sabitini’s main course was inedible and no one on staff or the maître d seemed to care. Definitely not worth the extra money. The fish and lobster were always either mushy or tough. The buffet was boring, had very little variety and was not very appetizing compared to other ships I have been on where the food has been incredible. The entertainment was boring and repetitious. Every cruise passenger we spoke to only had negative comments to make about the food and staff. We felt the room service staff provided great service. We enjoyed the Lido deck hot dog and hamburger bar.
The Medallion service was extremely frustrating and a waste of time. When it was working it kept showing we were on the Regal Princess, we didn’t take the cruise to spend all of our time on the phone. We couldn’t locate each other, order drinks or food to our locations on the ship.
Unfortunately there was a large LGBTQ community on the ship and one group took over one area of the ship, acting in a very inappropriate manner in and out of the pool area even when children were around. Passengers and staff alike were embarrassed and very put off by their actions. Everyone on the cruise were commenting on how uncomfortable they were by the inappropriate behaviour. We are very open but this was way over the top.
Very interesting, driver extremely knowledgable
