My daughter and her boyfriend booked this cruise on Carnival Sensation leaving Miami going to Key West and Cozumel for 4 nights and invited us to come along. We have cruised with Royal Caribbean 5 other times prior to this. This ship is in disrepair. We found rust and many things looking worn and broken. We were greeted at our expensive beautiful balcony stateroom by the overpowering smell of pot and very loud music coming from one of our neighbors. Next came the cabin steward just opening the door as I was Changing my clothes! First of all...when they say it's a party ship, believe them! The other passengers were awful. We found very few people that were not cursing,(vulgar f word, mother-fer,and so on) on the entire 4 night trip. Everyone was drunk and unruly. The other passengers were just generally very rude. There was also a hallway encounter with a man blasting a boombox! The entire atmosphere was just terrible. People yelling, shouting curses...even with children within earshot. You could not hear the people sitting with you at your table in the buffet because everyone was just yelling, screaming and shouting to people across the room! The food in the dining room and the buffet was inedible. I bought the unlimited soda package but didn't get the value from it because there are so few places to get a drink. There wasn't anywhere to get milk for our toddler except the breakfast buffet. I ordered milk at dinner in the dining room one evening and as we were leaving the dining room someone ran to catch up with us to finally give it to us...we had given up asking and decided to leave! Every time we tried to go to the buffet it was either fully or partially closed,(unless it was exactly at meal times). There was only pizza open in the buffet but the line was so long because everyone else wanted to eat too and it was the only thing open. The food staff in the buffet and dining room were very dismissive and abrupt whenever they interacted with us. My food was not hot in either the buffet or dining room. We couldn't fit in the one tiny pool on board it was so overcrowded,(not that I wanted to be in there surrounded by loud obnoxious drunk people bumping into us with my almost two year old). I could not wait to get off of the ship. That has never happened on Royal Caribbean. Our cabin had only one electrical outlet. The tv was old and small with nothing on it anyway. Our cabin steward never vacuumed our cabin or cleaned our bathroom. The larger ships we have been on were always smooth even in rough seas. I believe this ship was so rough because it's a smaller ship and therefore lacked the larger stabilizers the larger ships have. We were unable to use the play time for the toddlers as the times they had available was so limited. And last but not least, our cabin steward stole my expensive Samsung wireless earbuds. We were told they are not liable for theft and it's our loss! It was overall a terrible experience and we will never cruise on Carnival again.
