A digustation menu of Taste of Salt meal - expensive

It was advertised as a Bounty Adventure, to follow the route taken by the mutineers from the Bounty after they put Bligh and some onto a whaling boat. We visited Norfolk Island, two places of Tonga including Nuku'alofa, three for Fij but only two were possible due to high winds for Dravuni Island, we were able to visit Port Denarau and Suva before our final stop at Noumea.

We had a descendent of the mutineers who lives on Norfolk Island to give us talks about the island and the mutineers, very interesting.

We were disappointed by the lack of variety for activities, most were held inside eg trivia and bingo during the day, it would have been good to have more exercise activities such as gentle exercises or aquarobics. Our Tai Chi class which was much enjoyed was discontinued after the teacher had to disembark at Suva ? reason.

Cabin Review

Very small, little room to move particularly between beds. Once someone needed to move to bathroom on open wardrobe (which were outside bathroom) only room for one person to do either.

We experienced problems with our bathroom shower, which took three requests to our cabin steward before it was fixed. We saw a lot of rust along the balcony rails and below.

Port Reviews

Norfolk Island

It was a tender port but due to difficulties with the wharf at Norfolk Island, the ship's tenders could not be used and the island used its own, which was one of the first time used, and took only 90 passengers. It took us almost 3 hours to finally get off theship and onto the island. Once there it was a queue for a shuttle bus into the town. We were able to spend barely an hour there before we had to return to the ship, more queueing. The ship left almost three hours late due to these problems, We did enjoy the short time there.
