We chose this ship because we are not into mega ships and had been wanting to do the Panama Canal. This delivered so much more than expected. The food was excellent, the service superb. Lectures were interesting and helpful, and entertainment was wonderful. Lincoln Center Stage was a highlight, BB Kings was fun, and I enjoyed watching a movie on the Mainstage.
The OV cabin was well designed, and particularly liked the bathroom. First cabin ever with enough room for two sets of toiletries!
Panama Canal day was special! We loved the Panama rolls, It was not too crowded on any of the decks we tried, and narration was excellent. We did the Panama Canal ferry full transit excursion. It was a long day because we had to wait for a larger ship to share the locks with us, but great to see the entire canal, touch the side of the lock, see the Panama City skyline and the lunch on our tour was adequate, with cold water and sodas included.
Cabin Review
Large Outside Stateroom (partial sea views)
I am a light sleeper and most OV rooms are on Deck 1 below the music venues, so not sure if that would work for us and we chose Deck 4. We had a winch outside the window, but could see enough including sunsets. The cabin was very well designed with excellent closets, bathroom storage and comfortable couch.
