We thought , why not cruise around the Canary Isles with Madeira thrown in for good measure . We chose a Junior suite no 10015 on 10th floor , impressed with the cabin and facilities ( except a shower cubicle that floods ) Sadly however we quickly realised we were directly under the Gym due to the continuous crashing of the dumbells from the weights onto the floor ( typically from 7AM onwards )

Potential customers take note … You cannot turn the Air Conditioning off and it makes a hell of a noise , especially when it is windy which it was for most of the time on our cruise ( this also applies to the Marella Explorer 2 )

The ship is difficult to navigate around especially amidships on deck 5 and 6 , there is no Atrium as such so there is no central point to get your bearings .

Cabin Review

Cabin was excellent with abundant storage and drawers ,bed was nicely situated facing the patio , enormous balcony ( biggest ever for us ) complete with hammock ( was not brave enough to try it !!!!) Good shower cubicle with hand rails but sadly it tended to flood the floor giving our feet a double soaking , TV good size but useless due to signal drop off , this is mentioned in the introduction leaflet in the cabin so not destined to be fixed.....

Finally ..THE AIR CONDTIONING CANNOT BE TURNED OFF EVEN AT NIGHT ...we suffered badly due to high winds making the noises even worse ....Ahhh .nearly forgot ..you are under the Gym ..so expect the noise of dumbells crashing on the floor from 7 AM onwards

Happy sailing.....
