An inaugural cruise is used to get the kinks worked out. Let's remember that the ship was just delivered from the shipbuilder to NCL only days before the transatlantic crossing. So, we couldn't be expected to find everything flowing as if the ship had been in service for months.
Yes, there were issues with the spa's thermal pool being cooler than normal on that first day at sea. And, it had to be drained when we hit rough seas to prevent water damage to the spa. (The motion sickness bags placed around the ship should have been a clue.) But, it was not something that went uncorrected when it was reopened. I will agree with another reviewer that "quiet" rules were not followed in the spa at all times. One group of people in the hot tub were particularly loud at times.
One review item I cannot agree with was the Garden Cafe. It had probably the best food I have ever seen in any cafe aboard the major cruise lines. In the last 13 cruises, I can count on one hand the number of times we have eaten dinner at the ship's cafe. We have always eaten dinner in the main dining room. But, we enjoyed the Garden Cafe's dining fare so much, we ate dinner there nearly every evening. A first for us.
The family oceanview had the closets intelligently positioned away from the bed so there was plenty of room to use them.
