Wanted to try leaving from New York. We left from Brooklyn and it was virtually effortless. We left on Halloween so lots of creative costumes on board. Did not want a lot of stops. There were 3 exceptional ones. This cruise served both purposes and was priced right. We usually prefer ships with fewer passengers but the on-board entertainment and venues more than made up for the size. Incredible shows. Comedians who were hysterical, the ventriloquist was amazing, musicians who could really play, and star gazing opportunities made for fun evenings. Movies on demand were great for late late nights. Days at sea filled with plenty of activities: trivia, Princess Pop Choir, Karaoke, sports challenges, book club, game shows, shopping or just lounging at the pool.
Alfredos Pizzaria was the hidden gem with unique and fresh pizza toppings, antipasto plates, soups and desserts. As with any Princess cruise we have been on the service was impeccable. Excursions were all well received. Zip lining on St. Maarten, swimming with the stingrays in Antigua (staff here really loved the animals and enjoyed sharing them with us), and the submarine experience in Aruba were all top shelf. The ship docked in Ft. Lauderdale which is also an efficient terminal. The only thing wrong with it is the airport which is undergoing renovations which we hope will make it more passenger friendly. If you are looking for a relaxing cruise put this one on your list.
Efficient use of space. Kept very clean. Enough room for us as we were not in it much. Would prefer balcony to be a little wider as we did spend a lot of time on it.
