It was recommended by previous friends and relatives who had travelled with Viking numerous times. Having done many ocean cruises we decided to try a river cruise. It did not disappoint the excursions were very good only you need to be fit with all the walking involved but from our point of view they were excellent. Staff were very helpful nothing too much trouble and always very professional in their attitude, and keep you well informed of any activities and what to see of places of interest etc. The ship was always clean in fact it was spotless. There was a small amount of evening activities but by the time you had the evening meal you were ready for bed due to the hectic day you had with the excursions. The only complaint we had was the cabin with a French balcony it was so small the twin beds were so close. It would be nice if Viking did river cruises in the British Isles.
