I have waited to write this review, because I am really loathe to write a bad review without hearing from the service provider. There was a problem with sewage on the ship for the first 3 or 4 days and there was a penetrating and sickening odour on the ship - especially in the main entrance and at the end of the dining room. One staff person acknowledged that there was an issue but our comments and questions were left unanswered. We filled in our feedback forms in some detail and have still heard nothing - not an apology and not an explanation. Our cruise was in June. There were issues with the ship. In the last few days the upper cabins suffered terrible flooding. One guest described waking up to "inches" of water on the floor. Those guests appear to have been taken care of but this, combined with the odour, suggests that the systems on the ship were not yet in ship shape.

Uniworld is also very difficult to communicate with in advance of the trip. My husband and I and the couple we were travelling with payment demand notices from Uniworld for the balance of our fares, but none of us had not received invoices and we were unaware that we were overdue to make our final payment.

The staff is excellent and the food was very good. The public rooms were well appointed but large and a bit noisy for a quiet drink and conversation. There was a room at the stern but the service there was infrequent and there were only dining tables and chairs. If you wanted to read the paper, there was nowhere to go but your room. The destinations were wonderful and the scenery memorable, so we consider our trip a success. I would not recommend Uniworld.
