My friends wanted to re-visit Italy, so we looked at different venues and felt that Viking offered the best and most for your money. We had been on 3 Viking River Cruises in the past and knew that they were all first class cruises. We were not disappointed! The Ocean Cruises are great also. The service was excellent. Our dining experience was also great! The food was fabulous, where you were in the Main Dining Room, Word Café, Pool Grill or one of the specialty restaurants. Although the ports were not located walking distance to the ship, a free shuttle was offered to get to some of the towns. We enjoyed all the free tours and also booked 4 of the additional tours. Each had wonderful guides and were very well planned. The veranda stateroom was spacious and very comfortable. The room had a refrigerator that included cokes and snacks that were free. It had fresh water everyday that was also free. We entertained ourselves with shuffleboard in the afternoon.
