We chose this cruise to see as much as possible on a short trip. First mistake NEVER board in Rome. The port is a hole, the train serving it has no luggage space and when we arrived at the port the lifts were out of order so everyone struggled with suitcases, prams etc up and down stairs. The transportation buses were old and cramped and again very little space for bags and no porters.

We were in The Haven, very disappointing. The concierge was supercilious and never stood up to address you and seemed to question you when you reported something was incorrect.

We had paid for a full drinks package with coffee yet the min bar in the suite was emptied as that was extra even though it was only filled with common beer, wine etc. Instead we could call our butler and get drinks delivered without additional charge but we could not open the fridge and use the mini bar ??? Similarly the I could ask for as much coffee in the suite but if I wanted a latte in a paper cup on deck I had to pay again, why ???? Read more
