We are platinum cruisers and just finished our 19th cruise yesterday. We chose this cruise because we liked the itinerary and wanted to take our 12 year old granddaughter on it. The ship itself is okay...needs a little TLC...but that didn't bother us. Our evening dining experience was good and our wait staff was excellent as was our cabin crew. However, we feel CARNIVAL has lowered its standards. This is a small complaint, but come on, ….we used to get a cheap pen and paper in our rooms (yes, we took the 10 cent pen home) and now we got a half pencil and 6 tiny sheets of paper. We used to get samples of products in the bathroom, but this time we had to ask for another bar of soap....a few years ago we got chocolate mints on our pillows when the bed was turned down,....etc. My biggest complaint, however, is the family time shows. My granddaughter and I went to Epic Rock (at 7:30 pm) and it was so VULGAR, I felt like I was in Sodom and Gomorrah! No wonder the theater was only 1/2 full at the most. This was absolutely no place for kids! Where is your shame and decency! The same applies to the *80's Rock show! This is NOT family entertainment! Also, I may add, screaming the songs IS NOT singing. Anyone can scream a song! CARNIVAL, what happened to entertainment? On our way back to Wisconsin, we have decided to go on Celebrity X on our next cruise. We hate to give up our perks, but I will not patronize the standards Carnival has set.
Excellent. Our cabin was always cleaned in the mornings and evenings. Plenty of towels. Very friendly crew.
