What a disappointment this cruise was. We boarded in Singapore to find that a lot of passengers on the Fremantle to Singapore run had been affected by virus, the ships captain did all he could to contain it, however the crew were put under the pump to perform extra duties, continually cleaning the ship down, spraying and having to serve all food, crockery, drinks and condiments. Consequently tables were not cleared or cleaned quickly, some staff deliberately turned their backs on passengers pretending to do other jobs so they wouldn't have to serve. But the worst thing was the ship was freezing cold, this was a tropical location and passengers were walking around inside the ship with COATS, JACKETS and BLANKETS, when complaining (as most passengers did) we were given various excuses, the cold is coming in from the vents outside (it was hot outside) the performers need to be comfortable (so the rest of the ship has to freeze) the cruise director was making jokes about the number of passengers wearing blankets in the theatre and bars. The ship was old and tired, The waiters in the main dining were excellent but sometimes the food was disappointing and the eat tough. The buffet food didn't have a great deal of variety and some of the hot food was lukewarm, Tea and coffee was not hot, to pay so much for a cruise this was an overall disappointment.

Cabin Review

Balcony

The cabin was tired, the curtains were hanging down when we boarded and were still hanging down when we departed

Port Reviews

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

As we had been to Bankok many times and it is a long way from the port, we decided to get a taxi and go to Pattaya very similar to Phukket, a nice day strolling around the markets

Koh Samui

Took a taxi around locally and viewed the temples and market, very similar to Phukket only bad experience was the ship used a local touing boat for a tender on the reurn and it sat in the port for half an hour waiting for more passengers with the motor running and the diesel fumes coming on board, passengers were trying to cover their faces with hankies to stop the fumes

Bali

Local taxi for the day shopping
