We have cruised many times with Norwegian but there has been a great decline in many areas. We are not picky people and most times "go with the flow ", not much ruins our vacation. The quality of food at the buffet has gone downhill fast, no variety day to day for lunch. I can't speak about dinner at the buffet as we ate in a dining room every night. We were looking forward to seafood night at the buffet but discovered that was replaced with "street food night"??? We had dinner at Cagney's and the steaks we had in the dining room were way better! With the exception of the dining room staff and our room steward who was AWESOME there were very few staff members who were remotely pleasant, bordering on downright MISERABLE. We went to O'Sheehan's late two nights for cheesecake and coffee before turning in for the night. While the cheesecake was phenomenal, the staff again miserable. Bar service was slow, and when we finally got a drink (tipping every time), never a thank you or even a smile, and not any one bar in particular...all of them. We are very understanding of how bad some people behave and go out of our way to say please and thank you to anyone we encounter, in fact have gone directly to any service manager to voice exceptional service as well as completing comment cards. The menu in the dining room lacked interest, although all of the staff here was wonderful. . All this and the prices rising drastically. There is very little reward for loyalty. We are platinum on another line as well as Norwegian yet continued to book this cruise. After this past cruise, we will be looking elsewhere for our vacations.
