went on this cruise as it was repositioning and bringing Splendor to Australia for it's inaugural season. I travelled with a group of friends who also love to cruise.
We enjoyed it very much even with the teething problems which were soon sorted.
Cruise Director Lee was fabulous and worked so hard for the entire trip....always a pleasure to be around.
Entertainment was great.....shows were energetic and entertaining.
Enjoyed the piano Diva Natalie and Music Manilla most nights.
Our cabin 7257 was roomy and the beds and pillows were wonderful.
Ship was easy to get around and we were lucky that we had plenty of lifts and had no issues with them....aft had many lift problems
My "roomie" did not like the decorations of the restaurants....but got used to them.
Crew were amazing as always...especially room stewards and restaurant staff.
Some guest services staff should maybe look at getting another job.
Corners have definitely been cut though..throughout the whole cruise..you can see the difference from previous cruises I have been on.
Wine was not good....very little choice ( and ran out quickly) and very expensive for cheap wine. Carnival should look at more South Australian wine....better quality.
Food was mostly good although the Lido menu never changed.....same each day.
Did not enjoy people using the the water taps in Lido to fill their own bottles and not one sign asking them not to.....I did ask a few people not to and got abused. Staff should be asking them mot to.....AND signs.
Kids were mostly polite ....some adults were NOT.
Embarkation was a nightmare especially the taking of passports....that system did not work.
All in all a great cruise.....not my favourite cruise ever but I had fun and relaxed which was my main objective
great cabin in a great spot....near lifts and convenient to everything really. Harri our steward was terrific without being in our face
