This was my first Cruise so I can not fairly compare this to any other cruise and the thought of wasting money to sit on a ship when I could be at home working did not impress me.
But from the minute I stepped on board i was amazed the atmosphere was great the polite tolerant and friendly service was fantastic and I was made to feel welcome from the minute I boarded, There were some staff that obviously had been on the ship for to long and needed a break but as the cruise continued even they relaxed back down again.
Have you ever stepped into an elevator and as the doors close the cone of silence comes down and no one speaks a word, Well not on the pacific Dawn the elevator the decks and even the restaurants are a buzz with excited and happy passengers all keen to meet greet and share their love of this cruise. The cruise was a pleasure and I have been completely converted and I will be going on as many cruises as I can now to make up for all the years I stayed at home.
The Cabin was well looked after and set up the only down side was a slight unpleasant smell that I ma not sure where it was coming from it was stronger in the hall than the room and reminded me of a chemical toilet smell but it wasn't all the time and was only slight a small bar fridge would have been nice but other wise the cabin served its purpose I guess after all we were only there to sleep
