This was a 13 day New Zealand cruise with Brisbane to Brisbane port. Of the 13 days, six were at sea so there wasn’t a lot of time allocated for shore excursions. Ship capacity was about 2,000 and it was pretty booked. I was disappointed in the overall look of the ship as it is in need of a renovation. Some common areas had rust and stains and dated furnishings. Our balcony stateroom was decent although a couple of extra square feet would have made a real difference in the comfort. Storage was good as was the lighting over the bed, an important consideration if you like to read at night.

We were a group of six and had 7:45 pm dinner seating each evening in the Rigoletto dining room. Service was really excellent and food was pretty good.

The buffet area was decent but nothing to rave about. Several times we had problems getting tables, but never waited more than 10 minutes. Staff were pretty efficient with clearing tables to keep them turning.
