Our family are huge Disney Cruise fans as we've been on both the Disney Dream & Fantasy. For the holiday, we've decided to book a 4 nights cruise on the Disney Wonder from Galveston...and we're sad to say it was a huge disappointment. Our party consisted of myself, my significant other, our 5 years old daughter and 2 years old son. Prior to cruising Disney's smaller and older ship, we've been told that some preferred the smaller ships over the bigger ones because the staff & crew are more attentive, etc. However, from our experience, it was the exact opposite. The exceptional service that Disney was well-known for was almost non-existent on our trip. Below are some of our experiences on the Disney Wonder:

Day 1 - Our dinner for the first night was Animator's Palate and we were told it would be the highlight of our cruise. It was a disaster! We had to wait 20 minutes for the Assistant Server to come with our water. After filling our cups with water, he didn't even bother asking us if we wanted something else to drink. I had to catch him before he took off and asked if our kids can get some apple juice. At this point, our kids were beginning to get fussy because they were bored and hungry. I had to walk up to one of the server and asked for crayons so they can color their menus (which is also a mini activity book). On our previous trips with Dream & Fantasy, crayons would already be at the table when we arrived. After ordering our drinks, we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. And all this time, we were not offered a menu to look at and our main Dining Server was nowhere to be found. After a good 30 minutes after arriving, we were finally presented with a menu and was allowed to order. The food tasted terrible, not on the same caliber as the Animators Palate on the Fantasy. We were upset and shocked at the service we've received and wished we would've just done room service or quick food service instead.

Day 2 - The Princess Gathering was unorganized and chaotic. They did not hand out the tickets like on the Dreams or Fantasy so people who did not sign up ahead of time was still able to line up for pictures.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom

The cabin was clean and roomy. Wished the port holes was a bit bigger.
