Second time I cruised with Norwegian. My only three "real" complaints are : 1. the public rooms are very COLD. The Library felt like a meat locker. I think the cause is the staff is so "fully dressed." 2. I don't think the "specialty" restaurants are worth the price, $120 for a very average French meal, and $80 for Italian, and my wife's was inedible. 3. The theater talent and shows were excellent but some of the lounge teams were either too loud and/or did not know the song lyrics.
The staff (room and restaurants) are first rate and there were abundant offerings for shore trips. Getting on the ship, off the ship, and information about destinations and options were all handled professionally and quickly. Would have like to spend more time in a few of the ports, but that may have been beyond the control of the ship. When you "price" your cruise make sure you take into account the "service changes" and automatically added tips!
BTW - Check Trip Adviser or "alternative" sources for shore excursions to both save money and have further "intimate and native" experiences. We were able to eat in "non tourist" restaurants and actually had a dedicated driver for the two of us.
Well staffed with adequate storage.
Short Eco tour to a waterfall, but bus ride was long.
Snorkel was cloudy but fun; however the "port" is all Norwegian, nothing native about it.
We only stayed overnight both directions.
